Ewa Kaszewska

Head of the Research Support and Business Cooperation Office

For the past 15 years, I have been working at the intersection of science, management, and business. I applied my experience in the development of the administrative and organizational structure of the International Centre for Theory of Quantum Technologies at the University of Gdańsk. I shaped my professional skills by working as a physicist for 7 years at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, during which time I also led the activities of the NCU SPIE SC and NCU OSA SC scientific societies. Seeking a balance between scientific work and management activities, I contributed to the promotion of the natural sciences, through which I developed my managerial skills. In 2013, I was appointed as President of the Aleksander Jabłoński Foundation, where I was able to develop my leadership skills and work for the development of the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy, and Applied Informatics at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. In 2017, I participated in efforts to obtain funds to create the International Center for the Theory of Quantum Technologies (ICTQT) at the University of Gdańsk. A year later, I oversaw its establishment and began work on the newly built ICTQT unit. I currently serve as the Head of the Research Support and Business Collaboration Office at ICTQT UG.
