Jakub Tomasz Gnyp currently serves as a Technical and Scientific Assistant in the Department of Condensed Phase Spectroscopy and the Teaching Physics Laboratory at the University of Gdańsk. Prior to this, he spent two years at the International Centre for Theory of Quantum Technologies (ICTQT) as part of the Quantum Cybersecurity and Communications group.
Jakub is an accomplished public speaker with a proven track record in hosting both business and scientific events. His engagement in this field began in high school, where he distinguished himself as the leader of the non-profit Poland Business Week Association and through collaborations with organisations such as Talkersi and Inkubator Starter.
He holds a BSc in Mathematical Modelling and Data Analysis and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Physics, having been conditionally accepted into an MRes programme at Imperial College London. Additionally, he has gained experience as an analyst on offshore wind farm construction projects in Antwerp, Belgium, with Ultra NDT.
With his passion for public speaking and the physical sciences, Jakub is exceptionally well-suited to host Q-Con.
