Luca Laloli is a Swiss career diplomat with a background in European, economic and scientific affairs, with previous postings in Brussels, London and Dublin.
Before joining the team in Warsaw in August 2024, he co-led the negotiations with the EU on Switzerland’s participation in Union programmes in the fields of research, innovation, education and space. In 2026, when the Embassy of Switzerland in Poland became part of the Swissnex Network, Luca also took over the position of Swissnex Science Counselor.
Earlier in his career, Luca worked for the Swiss State Secretariat for International Finance and was part of the team negotiating the standard for the automatic exchange of information on financial accounts.
Luca holds a Master’s Degree in International Affairs and Governance from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and a Master’s Degree in International Development from Sciences Po Paris.
