Dr. Akshata Shenoy completed her Ph.D. at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. She subsequently received the prestigious Swiss Government Excellence Postdoctoral Fellowship to conduct postdoctoral research in quantum cryptography at the University of Geneva, Switzerland.
She is currently a Senior Researcher at the International Centre for Theory of Quantum Technologies (ICTQT), University of Gdańsk (UG) where her work centers on quantum cryptography, quantum correlations, and the integration of machine learning into quantum technologies.
She is actively involved in mentoring both undergraduate and graduate students. In addition to her academic work, she contributed to the development of a strategic roadmap for quantum technologies in Karnataka, as part of an initiative by the Karnataka Science and Technology Academy (KSTA), India.
Akshata was a co-leader of Q-Camp 2025, a two-week summer school dedicated to Quantum Machine Learning. Following the strong response to last year’s edition, she is also returning as a co-leader for this year’s Q-Camp (31 Aug – 10 Sep, Gdańsk).
