Maja is the President of the Student Council at the University of Gdańsk’s Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics (MFI) and an Ambassador for the “Girls into STEM” initiative (Polish: “Dziewczyny do ścisłych”), run by the Perspektywy Education Foundation (Polish: Fundacja Edukacyjna Perspektywy).
As a Mathematical Modelling and Data Analysis student, she focuses on bridging the gap between complex data and social impact. She is the co-founder of “aMFIteatr nauki” (English: “Amphitheatre of Science”, a wordplay on the MFI faculty acronym and the Polish term for an amphitheatre), a popular science series, and a dedicated advocate for diversity in STEM.
Maja’s work centres on empowering the next generation of tech talent through community building and large-scale engagement projects.
Together with Martyna Pieczka, she co-leads aMFIteatr nauki, a Q-Con side event promoting STEM education and study pathways that open doors to modern technologies, taking place on 10 September at the MFI Faculty, University of Gdańsk.
