Tomek Ćwik is an entrepreneur and co-founder of the award-winning quantum computing startup finQbit, with over 15 years of experience across the IT and financial sectors. He is a member of the Programme Advisory Board for Computer Science at AGH University of Science and Technology, and is actively involved in shaping Poland’s national quantum strategy, working at the intersection of technology, industry, and public policy.

He is a graduate of multiple top-tier entrepreneurship and startup programmes, including Stanford UniversityTechstarsCreative Destruction Lab, and EIT. Known for delivering multiple cutting-edge innovations eg. being involved in building BLIK, Tomek has advised and collaborated with leading international financial institutions, technology companies, and deep-tech startups.

In recent years, he has played a key role in the emerging field of quantum computing for finance, successfully bridging academia and business by establishing and leading R&D units in Central and Eastern Europe that pioneered practical quantum and hybrid quantum-classical applications for risk and financial modelling.

His contributions have earned him global recognition, including being named one of the top 23 quantum strategists worldwide by Quantum Insider. Tomek has also collaborated as an expert with organisations such as the CQF Institute and the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT).
