Rafał Duczmal has over a decade of experience supporting the European research and innovation ecosystem. He has been involved in the implementation of several major European Partnerships, including EOSC, EuroHPC, and a number of current Joint Undertakings.
Since 2017, he has worked on the preparation and implementation of the EuroHPC initiative, representing Poland on its Governing Board from the outset. In 2023, he was elected Chair of the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking Governing Board.
At the national level, he serves as Strategic Expert for HPC, AI and Quantum Technologies at the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBiR). In February 2026, he was appointed Plenipotentiary of the Minister of Science and Higher Education for Key Digital Technologies.
